RECAP AND PHOTO ALBUM FROM CONVOCATION 2024

On February 17, nearly 900 guests filled the Nova Centre to celebrate Nova Scotia’s 126 successful Common Final Examination writers from 2023. This convocation, an annual rite of passage, serves as a poignant moment for employers, families, and graduates alike to collectively revel in this monumental achievement.

“Becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant is no small feat,” remarks Patricia Towler, President, and CEO. “It is a journey that demands intellectual rigour, hard work, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards. The 2023 successful CFE writers conquered the journey with grace, resilience, and an unyielding pursuit of Excellence. We look forward to welcoming them into membership.”

The ceremony was filled with heartfelt speeches and words of congratulations from representatives from CPA Canada and CPA Nova Scotia. Among the distinguished speakers, Ethan Vincent, one of Nova Scotia’s top writers, took the stage as the graduate speaker, delivering an excellent speech celebrating his classmates’ achievements and reflecting on their collective journey to reach this occasion.

The evening serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of education and the boundless opportunities that await the newest cohort of Chartered Professional Accountants. As they embark on their respective career paths, these graduates stand poised to make indelible contributions to their profession, communities and beyond.
