CPA Nova Scotia is aware of information circulating in the public respecting the alleged guilty plea by one of our members to an offence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Our ability to access records is extremely limited by the constraints in the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and prevent us from compelling the information from the member. Therefore, CPA Nova Scotia cannot investigate or initiate a complaint on the basis of the alleged guilty plea at this time.

CPA Nova Scotia remains committed to protection of the public regarding conduct of Chartered Professional Accountants, and our robust complaints and discipline process is available to any member of the public who wishes to bring matters to our attention regarding the conduct of a CPA.
